KEBOCOR 238 A prevents tarnishing and rusting of steel surfaces during the rinsing process after acid pickling.
KEBOCOR 238 A is an optimized formulation of several alkanolamine derivatives of different molecular weight. The product has buffering, complexing and film-forming properties.
film-forming properties.
KEBOCOR 238 A is adsorptively bound to the steel surface and coats it with a thin, non-conductive layer that predominantly inhibits the cathodic partial reaction of the corrosion process. The buffer capacity of KEBOCOR 238 A prevents the formation of different pH ranges on the surface, so that no stable
local anodes, which lead to rust pustules, can form.
In many cases, part of the rinse water is added to the pickling baths. For this reason, KEBOCOR 238 A has been designed to avoid interference with our pickling inhibitors, e.g. ADACID EB or ADACID 328.
The active substances contained in KEBOCOR 238 A evaporate at elevated temperatures almost
At higher temperatures, the active substances contained in KEBOCOR 238 A evaporate almost without leaving any residues, so that there is no need to worry about carbon-containing surface contamination during subsequent annealing processes.
