Sodium thioglycolate46% (37% TGS), low odor (NaTG l.o.) is a clear, almost colorless to reddish purple colored salt solution containing about 46% NaTG and about 54% water. The reducing agent content, calculated as thioglycolic acid, is about 37%. NaTG 46 l.o. is the odor-optimized version of NaTG 46 pure. This is achieved by the addition of an odorant. At temperatures below 10°C, the product tends to crystallize due to the high salt concentration, which has no effect on the quality.
