Vinkocide™ 869 is a formulation of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (CIT) /. 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (MIT) with (ethylenedioxy)dimethanol (EDDM). -serves for the preservation of water-containing and water-dilutable chemical-technical products -has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi and yeasts -can be used in many cases where other products fail -particularly effective against gram-negative bacteria -cost-efficient due to low application concentrations -combines excellent long-term efficacy with the rapid efficacy of CIT/MIT -shows good vapor phase efficacy Vinkocide™ 869 prevents microbial-induced decomposition of products and the resulting consequences such as: - Phase separation - Unpleasant odors - Gas evolution - Viscosity change - Formation of harmful toxins
