Vinkocide CMIF 14

Vinkocide™ CMIF 14 is a formulation of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (CIT) / 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (MIT) with (ethylenedioxy)dimethanol. - ideal for use in aqueous and water-miscible systems - broad antimicrobial spectrum against bacteria, fungi and yeasts - often effective when other preservatives fail - very effective against Gram bacteria - cost-efficient due to low application rates - combines excellent long-term efficacy with the rapid action of CIT/MIT - good headspace protection Vinkocide™ CMIF 14 penetrates the cells of microorganisms, reacts with vital parts of the cell and inactivates important substrates and enzymes necessary for normal cell function. These relatively non-specific reactions prevent the development of microbial adaptation.
