Vinkocide KTLN

Vinkocide™ KTLN is a formulation of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) with 2-methyl-2hisothiazol-3-one (MIT), and pyridine-2-thiol-1-oxide, sodium salt. It was developed to provide an alternative in view of the future labeling of BIT at concentrations above 50 ppm due to the 2nd ATP of the CLP Regulation. It - is used for the preservation of water-based and water-dilutable chemical-technical products - has a broad antimicrobial spectrum of activity against bacteria, fungi and yeasts - can be used in many cases where other products fail - are characterized by good chemical stability - are non-volatile - show an excellent long-term effect - have good compatibility with other raw materials Vinkocide™ KTLN meets the highest purity requirements. Disruptive effects with regard to toxicological properties, but also efficacy, are often based on the proportion of impurities due to production technology. These are reduced to a minimum in Vinkocide™ KTLN. Vinkocide™ KTLN penetrates the cells of microorganisms, reacts with vital cell components and thus inactivates important substrates and enzymes that are absolutely necessary for cell function. These relatively non-specific reactions prevent adaptations and cause the microorganisms to die.
